Line 2 x 400 kV CHAFFARD - GRANDE ILE
The construction site between pylons 210 and 228 required 20 months' work and at least 70 000 hours with two main phases:

- assembly and erection of 17 pylons, roll out of 3 cables in 6 phases, Aster, 570 mm each and 2 overhead protection ground wires with fibre optic cables incorporated for one.

- dismantling of 15 pylons over 8.5 km of line - 1 circuit 400 kV.

One of the unusual features was the need to cross the A43 near Chimillin for which a special procedure was developed which has been widely used on RTE construction sites.
